Loan move on the cards for QPR defender
A number of clubs are interested in taking Liam Morrison on loan from QPR.
The Scottish defender’s first-team prospects have been affected by Jimmy Dunne’s impressive return to the centre-back position and the recent signing of Ronnie Edwards.
The timing is particularly bad for Morrison, who is keen to play himself into contention for a place in the Scotland squad for this summer’s World Cup.
The R’s are therefore willing to let him move elsewhere for the rest of the season.
And a move to Scotland currently looks likely, with clubs north of the border showing a strong interest.
Morrison, 22, was signed from Bayern Munich during the summer of 2024 and has since made 31 Championship appearances.
He is regarded as a good prospect and his performances have mostly been impressive. He was given an improved contract in September.
However, a dip in form, coupled with Rangers’ other options at centre-back, has left him out of the picture.
