Chair to miss at least two more QPR games
Ilias Chair will miss QPR’s matches against Southampton and Sheffield United.
Chair, who has been plagued by injuries during the past couple of seasons, took part in full training last week and appeared to be on course to be available for the trip to Hull.
However, he was not involved in Saturday’s game and is not expected to train this week, with the setback ruling him out of Tuesday’s visit to the south coast and this weekend’s visit of the Blades.
Justin Obikwu is also still sidelined.
“Illy (is being assessed) day by day, but he will not be available this week,” said head coach Julien Stephan.
“I hope he will be back soon because he is very important for the club, but we need to be careful.
“We need to be sure that when he comes back he’s at 100%. It’s very important.”
Striker Obikwu was signed from Coventry more than a month ago, after Rangers’ top scorer Rumarn Burrell was sidelined by a hamstring injury.
But Obikwu picked up an injury in training shortly after that move, is yet to make his debut, and Stephan admitted that the club do not currently know when he is likely to be available.
Meanwhile, R’s winger Kwame Poku has returned to training.
