Larkeche’s loan move to Barnsley from QPR confirmed
Ziyad Larkeche has completed a season-long loan move from QPR to Barnsley.
West London Sport recently revealed that the Tykes were among clubs keen on Larkeche – and on Friday revealed that a deal had been agreed for him to join them.
He returns to Oakwell, where he spent most of the 2022-23 campaign on loan from Fulham before moving to Loftus Road on a free transfer.
He was highly rated by the then Rangers manager Gareth Ainsworth but struggled to establish himself as a first-team player.
The 23-year-old left-back is not in R’s head coach Julien Stephan’s plans so was made available for a loan move along with Kieran Morgan – who is set to join Bradford City – and Rayan Kolli.
Larkeche spent the season before last on loan at Dundee. He was then earmarked for a run in the QPR side – and was given a new contract – but suffered a long-term knee injury during training last summer.
