QPR looking to sign Larkeche and are set to release Hamalainen

QPR are looking to sign French left-back Ziyad Larkeche, who is being released by Fulham.

The 20-year-old moved to west London from Paris St-Germain three years ago and was on loan at Barnsley last season.

He has been lined up as cover for Kenneth Paal and is set to replace Niko Hamalainen, who is on his way out of Loftus Road.

Hamalainen has been at QPR since 2014 and has a year remaining on his contract.

However, the Finland international has been out of the first-team picture for some time and the club are set to release him.

Boss Gareth Ainsworth has therefore moved to bring in an alternative back-up for Paal.

Larkeche is an attacking full-back and Fulham fought off competition from a number of European clubs to sign him.
