Wissa ‘not for sale’, Brentford boss Frank reiterates

Thomas Frank has reiterated that Brentford have no intention of selling Yoane Wissa.

Nottingham Forest recently offered close to £22m for the Bees forward, having had a £15m bid rejected during the summer.

Brentford have again indicated that Wissa is not for sale.

Boss Frank has consistently insisted that he expects the likes of Wissa and Bryan Mbeumo to stay, despite speculation about their futures.

And when asked about Wissa on Friday afternoon, Frank said: “It’s good with all these rumours – I love the transfer window.

“There’s a lot of rumours, but he’s a Brentford player and in my opinion Wissa is not for sale.

“He’s been our leading number nine, he’s been fantastic. I cannot see why we should sell him.”

Frank was speaking shortly after the club confirmed the signing of Italian defender Michael Kayode from Fiorentina.
