QPR boss hopeful of more new signings

Mark Warburton is hopeful Macauley Bonne will be joined at QPR by more new signings ahead of Monday’s transfer deadline.

New arrival Bonne made a dream start to his Rangers career by heading in a last-gasp equaliser to secure draw at Sheffield Wednesday.

He is expected to be joined at Loftus Road by winger Albert Adomah, who is due to undergo a medical on Monday.

And Rangers have other irons in the fire, with manager Mark Warburton keen to bolster his squad.

“There’s a couple more to come, hopefully,” Warburton said.

“Hopefully the next 24-48 hours will be interesting for us. If we can get one or two more over the line that would be really beneficial.

“We need depth because soon we’ll be playing a game a week.

“All squads will face demands and challenges unlike in any other season.”

Warburton praised Bonne, who came on as a second-half substitute at Hillsborough.

He said: “Macauley came in and you saw what he can do.

“We needed a partner for Lyndon Dykes and we’ll see what they can do going forward.”
