Swindon look at Baxter and Barnes

Goalkeepers Nathan Baxter and Dillon Barnes featured for Swindon in a pre-season friendly against Coventry on Saturday.

Chelsea’s Baxter, 21, has been lined up for a loan move to the County Ground.


Baxter (pictured above) has previously been on loan at Ross County, Yeovil, Woking and Solihull Motors.

Swindon are also looking at the 24-year-old Barnes, who joined QPR from Colchester a year ago as a back-up keeper.

Barnes is not in manager Mark Waburton’s first-team plans.

Meanwhile, another QPR keeper, Seny Dieng, will be offered a new contract.

And Rotherham are keen to sign keeper Jamal Blackman on loan from Chelsea.
