Chelsea youngster Jake Clarke-Salter suffered an injury while playing for England Under-21s in a friendly against Italy on Thursday evening.

Defender Clarke-Salter, who is currently on loan at Dutch club Vitesse Arnhem, went off after just four minutes of the 1-1 draw with what looked like an ankle injury.

On a brighter note, Chelsea’s Jay Dasilva was outstanding and was involved in both England goals, forming an excellent left-sided partnership with Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.

Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori also started the game in Ferrara, where fellow Blues youngster Tammy Abraham came on as a second-half substitute.

The visitors went ahead when Dasilva raced down the left and laid the ball off to Sessegnon, who crossed for Dominic Solanke to head home.

The Italians were level by half-time but Liverpool’s former Chelsea striker Solanke netted again in the second half, with a simple finish from Dasilva’s cross.
