Sergio Romero is the latest goalkeeper to be linked with a move to Chelsea.

The Blues are looking to bring in a back-up keeper following the recent departure of Willy Caballero.

Wayne Hennessey, who has since joined Burnley, and Marcus Bettinelli, who recently left Fulham, are among those to have been linked.


Now the Daily Telegraph say Chelsea are interested in Romero.

The 34-year-old Argentine is a free agent after recently leaving Manchester United at the end of his contract.


‘New Paul Pogba’ linked

Chelsea are among clubs supposedly interested in Barcelona’s teenage midfielder Ilaix Moriba.

It comes after contract negotiations between Barca and the player’s representatives seemingly stalled.

Spanish publications Sport and AS have both claimed that Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are interested in him.

He has been dubbed ‘the new Paul Pogba’ because of his apparent similarity to the United and France midfielder.


Kimpembe also linked

Paris St-Germain defender Presnel Kimpembe is another player to be linked with Chelsea.

French publication L’Équipe have suggested that his place could be under threat following PSG’s signing of Sergio Ramos and that Chelsea are potentially interested.


Berardi enquiry made, reports claim

It is claimed that Chelsea have made an enquiry about Sassuolo striker Domenico Berardi after supposedly missing out on his Italy team-mate Federico Chiesa.

It comes after reports claimed that Fiorentina have rebuffed an approach from Chelsea for Chiesa.

The Daily Mail have picked up on reports in Italy claiming that Chelsea have asked about Beradi as a possible alternative.

West Ham are also said to be interested in him.


Chelsea offered Hazard, AS say

Reports in Spain are again touting Eden Hazard for a possible return to Chelsea.

AS claim Real Madrid have offered the Blues the chance to re-sign Hazard, who has struggled for fitness and form since moving to La Liga.


‘Secret’ Lukaku talks

Romelu Lukaku is also still being linked with a return to Chelsea.

Lukaku was tipped to rejoin his former club before insisting he would stay at Inter Milan, which quelled speculation about his future.

However, various reports have declared that Chelsea are in “secret” talks to bring back the Belgium forward.

The stories appear to have emanated from Telegraph journalist Matt Law saying on the London is Blue podcast that he believes Lukaku is a transfer target.


Chelsea ready to agree Abraham loan deal – Sun

Arsenal are now being touted as favourites to sign Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham.

The England international has been tipped to leave Stamford Bridge this summer after being overlooked by Blues boss Thomas Tuchel.

West Ham have been heavily linked with Abraham for some time and more recently Tottenham have also been linked.

The Sun say Arsenal are on course to beat their London rivals to a deal to sign Abraham this summer.

Chelsea have reportedly been demanding £40m for Abraham, who has scored 21 Premier League goals for the club.

The Sun say the asking price has been a stumbling block to a sale but that Chelsea are ready to let him join Arsenal on a season-long loan with a obligation to buy.


Hudson-Odoi tipped to stay

Callum Hudson-Odoi will stay at Chelsea and fight for his place, reports say.

It comes after the winger was offered to Borussia Dortmund as part of a potential part-exchange deal involving Erling Haaland.

And French publication L’Equipe have claimed he has been offered to Bayern Munich – who previously tried in vain to sign him – in a swap involving Kingsley Coman. 

But The Sun have declared that he is determined to make his mark at Chelsea, while The Athletic say he is part of boss Thomas Tuchel’s plans.


Kalajdzic ‘an option for Chelsea’

Stuttgart’s Sasa Kalajdzic is the latest striker to be touted as a possible alternative signing if Chelsea miss out on Haaland.

The Athletic reckon Poland international Kalajdzic is on Chelsea’s radar as they look to sign a forward.


Rice speculation continues

England star Declan Rice continues to be linked with a move to Chelsea from West Ham.

The Express have picked up on journalist Dean Jones saying on The Football Terrace podcast that Chelsea “know the player wants to come” to the Bridge and plan to make an approach.

The Daily Star have since declared that Chelsea will offer Abraham to West Ham as part of a deal involving Rice.


Bettinelli an option – Athletic

ettinelli could join Chelsea, according to The Athletic.

The Athletic have reported that Bettinelli could join Chelsea. 

The 29-year-old recently left Fulham after 15 years at Craven Cottage.

Chelsea are looking to sign a back-up keeper this summer and are said to be considering Bettinelli as a possible option.


Clubs ‘scrapping’ for Gallagher – Sun

Newcastle and Crystal Palace are fighting to sign Conor Gallagher on loan from Chelsea, according to The Sun.

Despite speculation that he could be given a chance in the first team by Tuchel, Chelsea are ready to loan out Gallagher again.

The 21-year-old midfielder impressed while on loan at West Bromwich Albion last season.

Palace wanted him before he joined Albion and are expected to make an approach.

The Sun say Newcastle also want Gallagher and are “scrapping” with Palace to snap him up.


Kane swap deal mooted

Chelsea could offer Abraham to Tottenham in a part-exchange deal involving Harry Kane, The Athletic say.

It comes amid speculation over the futures of both players – and after Chelsea offered Abraham to Borussia Dortmund in part-exchange for Haaland.

The Athletic say Kane is a target for Chelsea as Dortmund have made it clear they do not want to sell Haaland this summer.


Lewandowski touted for £50m move

The Sun claim Chelsea are targeting Robert Lewandowski after failing to land Haaland.

It is claimed that Chelsea are ready to pay Bayern Munich £50m for the Poland international.

Lewandowski, 32, is currently negotiating a new deal at Bayern.
