There remains speculation over the future of Kai Havertz, who continues to be linked with a possible move to Chelsea.

Blues boss Frank Lampard recently denied reports the club had made Bayer Leverkusen an offer for Havertz, who has been linked with other top clubs.

Havertz has also been linked with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich

“We have an agreement. If it fits then he can go this summer,’ Voller is quoted as saying.

“As of now, he is a player of ours. We have our ideas. We know what he can do. I personally hope that he stays one more year.

“Of course, you can’t force anyone. Havertz knows what he owes to his colleagues, to the fans and the club.”

The Daily Express, meanwhile, declare Chelsea could make their move for Havertz after he plays for Leverkusen in Saturday’s German cup final.

The Daily Telegraph carried a similar story earlier this week – the newspaper has consistently reported that Chelsea will move for Havertz.

Chelsea linked with defender Torres

Chelsea are considering a move for Villarreal centre-back Pau Torres, according to the Daily Mail.

The Spain international, 23, is reported to have a £45m release clause in his contract.

Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Barcelona have also been linked with Torres, who has been touted for a move to the Premier League for some time.

Chelsea’s defensive vulnerabilities have been evident this season and were exposed once again during the midweek game at West Ham.

The defeat increased speculation that Lampard could look to bring in a central defender when the transfer window reopens.
