Aberdeen looking to seal loan signing of QPR’s Morrison

Aberdeen are looking to complete the signing of Liam Morrison on loan from QPR.

West London Sport recently revealed that the Scottish defender was likely to spend the rest of the season north of the border, with a number of clubs there keen on him and the R’s ready to let him go.

And Aberdeen appear to be close to snapping him up.

Morrison’s first-team prospects at Loftus Road have been affected by Jimmy Dunne’s impressive return to the centre-back position and the recent signing of Ronnie Edwards.

The timing is particularly bad for Morrison, who is keen to play himself into contention for a place in the Scotland squad for this summer’s World Cup.

QPR are therefore willing to let him move elsewhere for the rest of the campaign.

Morrison, 22, was signed from Bayern Munich during the summer of 2024 and has since made 31 Championship appearances.

He is regarded as a good prospect and his performances have mostly been impressive. He was given an improved contract in September.

However, a dip in form, coupled with Rangers’ other options at centre-back, has left him out of the picture.
