QPR captain Nedum Onuoha has returned to full training.

The defender has been out for almost three months, having suffered a torn hamstring during the 2-2 draw at home to Millwall in October.

Onuoha, 31, trained with the first-team squad on Thursday.

Rangers are desperately short of defenders, with Onuoha having been sidelined along with Grant Hall, who is expected to miss the entire season, James Perch, Joel Lynch, Darnell Furlong and Steven Caulker.

Onuoha was recently earmarked for a return to action in an Under-23 match against Millwall next week.

That was before Alex Baptiste joined the list of Rangers defenders unavailable for Saturday’s game against Leeds United.

Baptiste is suspended after being sent off after the final whistle following the 1-1 draw at Preston.
