Stephan felt QPR deserved a win

Julien Stephan felt QPR deserved to win against Preston.

The 1-1 draw at Deepdale made it four matches unbeaten for Rangers, who had won their previous three.

Brad Potts put the hosts ahead but Stephan’s side pushed hard for an equaliser and got one courtesy of Thierry Small’s own goal.

Head coach Stephan said: “We didn’t create enough but that changed completely after the goal conceded.

“We did a very good second half. Very dominant. We had enough chances to win this game and to be fair I think we deserved to win this game.

“When we have chances like this we need to be efficient. I’m a little bit disappointed with the result, but not the performance in the second half. It was a very good performance in the second half.”

Rangers’ next match is at home to Bristol City on Saturday.

Well done today You Rrrrssss, but again the frustrations of falling asleep at either the end of a 1st, or the start of the 2nd half reoccur yet again. We MUST eradicate these stupid errors, as they have cost us dearly all season.

Secondly we need a keeper, as the defence are not totally confident about who we have between the sticks and since Seny Dieng left us, we haven’t decently replaced him in goal, which we need to honestly address. It isn’t the Elephant, it’s more like the Woolly Mammoth of a issue. Rotating the keepers proves there is no trust on any of them, so we need to solve this issue once and for all. Also why do we seem to have to play with so little of the ball and let other teams come on to us. We need to be a possession based team, which will then breed more confidence and excitement to this team.

Finally why are we suffering so many injuries that have hindered out progress forward, season after season? That needs addressing too, as this has been pivotal to our season/s falling apart. But we didn’t lose today and although we should have won, I’ll take the draw rather than the loss. Let’s smash the raining games to the end of the Season and look at where we improve for next season. Cmon you Rrrrssss….
