Ramsey: I will get it right at QPR

QPR boss Chris Ramsey
Chris Ramsey has insisted he will “get it right” at QPR if he is given time to improve results.

The Rangers head coach was again barracked by fans on Saturday at Loftus Road, where his team struggled to break the deadlock before eventually beating MK Dons 3-0.

He now faces a crucial match against west London neighbours Brentford on Friday evening, when top scorer Charlie Austin could return.

Ramsey said: “We’re still in a gelling process and I think that’s something people have to realise.

“We’re trying to gel almost a new team together and we haven’t quite got it right. But we will do – we will get it right.”

Ramsey also believes Leroy Fer’s availability could be vital for Rangers as they look to climb the table.

The Dutch midfielder, who has been managing a knee problem, has featured in recent matches having missed the early part of the season.

“He’s worked fantastically hard in his rehab. The match fitness is always the last part, but he’s getting there,” Ramsey said.

“We’re hoping that these last few games he’s been involved in will help with his fitness and help him produce what we know he can.”
