QPR youngster nursing hamstring problem

QPR: Harlington training ground

A hamstring strain picked up by youngster Giles Phillips is QPR’s only new injury issue following their pre-season visit to Germany.

Rangers have returned to London following two friendlies against Hoffenheim, the first of which they drew 2-2 and the second they lost 3-0.

American centre-back Phillips, 19, has featured in Rangers’ pre-season campaign for the second year running. He has yet to make a competitive appearance for the first team.

Grant Hall and Sean Goss did not make the trip to Germany.

Hall is not yet ready to return to action following the knee problem which sidelined him for most of last season, while Goss has been nursing a back injury.

Darnell Furlong has been ruled out for at least three months after suffering a knee injury during a recent friendly against AFC Wimbledon.
