QPR are trying hard to offload Idrissa Sylla.
The club hoped a recent enquiry from Blackburn would lead to something, but the Lancashire side are looking elsewhere.
Other clubs have been made aware of Sylla’s availability, with Rangers desperate to get him off their wage bill.
The loan window for EFL clubs closes on Friday, while transfer windows outside England also currently remain open.
Players in England can therefore still move abroad or join EFL clubs on loan with a view to a permanent move.
QPR have tried in vain to offload Sylla during previous transfer windows.
The striker, signed from Anderlecht in 2016, has slipped further down the pecking order following the recent loan signings of Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells.
He was not even in the matchday squad for the Carabao Cup win against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday.
Asked about Sylla after the game, manager Steve McClaren said: “We’re looking at options with everything at the present moment.
“We’ve got some players we want to come in and we’ve got some players that need to go out on loan, and also some players that need to leave the club.
“Hopefully in the next two or three days that will all be sorted.”
