QPR striker celebrates proud moment with message on Twitter for those who doubted him

Tyler Blackwood’s QPR debut was a proud moment for the striker, who had a message for those that doubted he would make it as a player.

Blackwood posted on Twitter after coming on as a substitute in the Capital One Cup win at Yeovil.

He made the most of another chance to make it as a professional when he was offered a trial at Rangers, who later gave him a contract.

Blackwood previously had spells at Northampton and Barnet and more recently played college football in the United States.

Summer signings Seb Polter and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas scored their first goals for the club and there was a debut for another recent signing, Ben Gladwin.

Youth product Michael Doughty played in midfield, catching the eye in a Rangers side which also included Matt Phillips.
