Massimo Luongo has returned to training and QPR are confident he will be available for Saturday’s game against Bolton.

Luongo, who has missed Rangers’ last two matches, has been struggling with illness and a slight knee problem.

Paul Smyth has also trained this week and it is hoped he will finally be able to return to the squad.

Forward Smyth, who scored against Cardiff on New Year’s Day on his debut, has since been nursing a thigh injury.

The problem was initially seen as a minor one but Smyth has now been out of action for five weeks.

Robinson will not face action

Jack Robinson will not face disciplinary action after footage emerged of an off-the-ball clash between the QPR defender and Wolves forward Diogo Jota.

The incident during Saturday’s match at Molineux, where Rangers lost 2-1, was not spotted by the match officials but was caught on camera by a fan.

The Football Association therefore launched an investigation and the footage was assessed by a three-man panel.

Jota fell to the ground having appeared to be struck by Robinson inside the QPR penalty area after Rangers keeper Alex Smithies had cleared the ball.

However, the panel did not conclude that a clear offence had been committed.
