QPR v Watford player ratings
QPR beat Watford 2-1 at Loftus Road to make it three consecutive wins. Here’s how we rated each Rangers player.
Joe Walsh: 6
Came up with an important first-half save to push away Luca Kjerrumgaard’s left-footed shot.
Amadou Mbengue: 5
Had a terrible first half, with a couple of dire attempted crosses being mocked by Watford fans. It just wasn’t his day. Deserves some credit for sticking at it and improving in the second half.

Jimmy Dunne: 7
Faultless at the back, where the captain led by example.
Ronnie Edwards: 7
Also very good. Typically composed and useful on the ball.
Rhys Norrington-Davies: 7
Defended well and was also a decent outlet for Rangers going forward.
Paul Smyth: 8
Smyth is probably in his best form yet for QPR. He was lively from the start, teed up Rayan Kolli for the opener, doubled the lead in the second half with his third goal in two matches, and in general was a menace to Watford on the left.

Jonathan Varane: 8
Back up to speed following his recent lay-off, this was a return to form for Varane, who looked his sharpest for quite some time. Won several challenges, including a crucial tackle in the box in the first half on Nestory Irankunda after the Watford man had tricked his way past Mbengue.
Kieran Morgan: 7
Has a tendency to let opponents run off his shoulder. It led to a first-half booking for Dunne, who gave the youngster a rollicking for his mistake. But overall Morgan was again impressive, displaying a nice range of passing and an eagerness to get forward.
Harvey Vale: 8
A terrific display. Fluffed a pass to Smyth, who would have been through on goal, but more than atoned with some all-important contributions after that, including deliveries which led to both goals, another that almost led to a goal, and a curling shot against the post.
Rayan Kolli: 7
Scored again and could have had another with a first-half strike from the right of the box. His link-up play was excellent and he looked a threat. Unfortunately had to be taken off at half-time though.#

Richard Kone: 7
His movement and work-rate up front was important and created pockets of space for the likes of Vale and Kolli to exploit.
Daniel Bennie: 6
Didn’t make much of an impact after coming on for Kolli.
