QPR line up loan signings of Amos and Smith

QPR have agreed in principle the loan signings of midfielders Luke Amos and Matt Smith from Tottenham and Manchester City respectively.

Amos (pictured) has made one senior appearances for Spurs, as a late substitute, and been on loan at Southend and Stevenage.

The 22-year-old made his Premier League debut last August but suffered anterior cruciate ligament damage in an Under-23 game six weeks later and was sidelined for the rest of the season.

Spurs are now looking to loan him out again in order for him to pick up more first-team experience and have indicated that he can move to Loftus Road.

City have similarly indicated that Rangers can have Wales international Smith, who spent last season on loan Dutch club FC Twente.

Smith, 19, is more of a defensive midfielder and has been with City since 2014, having previously been at West Brom.

Meanwhile, Rangers have rejected an initial offer for their own Matt Smith, from Millwall, but talks between the two clubs are ongoing and the striker is expected to move.

A £4m offer from Sheffield United for Luke Freeman has also been rejected, while QPR director of football Les Ferdinand has confirmed the club will listen to offers for Massimo Luongo West London Sport revealed this week that Rangers are looking to sell him.
