QPR reject offer from Sheffield United for Freeman

QPR have rejected an offer from Sheffield United for Luke Freeman.

The promoted Blades were looking to buy Freeman, 27, for around £4m and have been told he would cost significantly more.

United and Middlesbrough had offers for Freeman rejected last summer and he has since extended his contract at Loftus Road.

Recently-appointed QPR boss Mark Warburton is keen for him to stay and does not regard Freeman’s departure as inevitable.

Meanwhile, Warburton is hoping to secure the loan signings of at least two youngsters on loan from Premier League clubs in the next week or so.
