QPR agree sale of Fer to Swansea

QPR midfielder Leroy Fer

QPR have agreed a deal to sell Leroy Fer to Swansea City.

Rangers could end up netting £4.75m for the Dutch midfielder, who finished last season on loan at the Liberty Stadium.

Fer, 26, is now set to discuss personal terms ahead of a planned medical.

He moved to Loftus Road from Norwich City two years ago and has made 48 league appearances for the R’s, scoring eight goals.

Rangers have been keen to offload him for some time – a proposed loan move to Sunderland fell through after he failed and medical and discussions about a potential move to PSV Eindhoven came to nothing before he eventually joined the Swans.

Lynch latest

Meanwhile, Joel Lynch is discussing personal terms with QPR after Huddersfield accepted an offer for the centre-back.

Rangers are expected to pay an initial fee of around £750,000 for the former Nottingham Forest man, 28, having continued to pursue a deal despite previous approaches being rejected.

R’s boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is keen to sign a left-sided central defender this summer and knows Wales international Lynch from the Dutchman’s spell on the coaching staff at Forest.

QPR also want Arsenal youngster Isaac Hayden and remain keen to sign left-back Jake Bidwell from Brentford, who are reluctant to sell their captain.

Like Lynch, Everton youth product Bidwell, 23, is entering the final year of his contract.

And West Brom, who had a bid for Matt Phillips rejected last summer, have made a fresh enquiry about the winger but are yet to make an offer.
