Eze to be assessed ahead of QPR cup clash

QPR will assess Ebere Eze before Steve McClaren names his side for the FA Cup game at Portsmouth.

Eze has been nursing a slight knock and could sit out the fourth-round tie at Fratton Park.

Rangers manager McClaren has told the club website he will pick a strong side this weekend.

He said: “There will be no using the squad, tweaking this, tweaking that or resting players. There won’t be anything like that.

“We will be putting out a team which we feel can get us the result.”

Meanwhile, Accrington Stanley have completed the signing of Paul Smyh on loan from QPR for the rest of the season.

And David Wheeler has joined Milton Keynes Dons on loan from the R’s, who this week recalled him from a season-long loan at Portsmouth, where he started just one league match.
