Obikwu back in training after another lay-off

Justin Obikwu appears to be a doubt for QPR’s game at West Ham after missing training during the international break.

Obikwu, signed from Coventry in January, has been unavailable for most of his time at the club.

He has made just one appearance – as a substitute against Charlton last month.

Rangers will be without Rumarn Burrell against the Hammers after he suffered an injury while on international duty with Jamaica.

And with Richard Kone a doubt after recently picking up a knee injury, Julien Stephan’s attacking options could be slim for Friday’s derby.

Rayan Kolli is in contention for a return to the squad, but Obikwu only returned to training on Tuesday.

Head coach Stephan said: “He was not available the last two weeks. Let’s see how the situation evolves.”
