Kone injured playing for QPR’s development side

QPR striker Richard Kone suffered another injury blow this afternoon.

Kone, who picked up an injury during pre-season, has struggled for fitness and form since the start of the campaign.

Having recently been left out of the Rangers team, he was selected to play for the development side in a match against Bolton.

But Kone had to be taken off during the first half after being hurt by a crunching challenge.

Bolton won 3-1. Rayan Kolli, who also featured in a game last week, scored the visitors’ goal and hit the bar, having again come on as a second-half substitute.

Justin Obikwu, who missed a penalty, and Liam Morrison were among other R’s players named in the starting line-up.
