QPR boss hopeful of Dykes return

QPR boss Mark Warburton
Mark Warburton is hopeful Lyndon Dykes will return to the QPR side against Preston.

The striker was recently on international duty for Scotland and missed Saturday’s draw at Bournemouth because of a thigh problem.

The injury is a minor one and Rangers manager Warburton is keen to have him back on Wednesday.

Warburton said: “I hope so. He had a minor injury at the weekend that kept him out.

“He’s done really well for his national team – three games in six days.

“He came back with a slight injury but I hope very much he’ll be available tomorrow night.”

Meanwhile, Warburton says he has “no plans” to bring in an unattached player following the news that Luke Amos faces a long spell out with a knee injury.
