Amos and Roberts expected to sit out second QPR game in Germany

Luke Amos and recent signing Tyler Roberts are expected to sit out the second match of QPR’s pre-season trip to Germany.

Neither player was involved against FSV Zwickau this week.

Goalkeeper Seny Dieng also missed that game but could return for Saturday’s friendly against Hallescher.

Roberts, signed on loan from Leeds, is nursing a muscle problem and has had a scan. The injury does not appear to be serious.

R’s boss Michael Beale said: “It’s a minor issue – nothing overly concerning. We’re just waiting for the scan results.”

Beale added: “Luke Amos has just been feeling a little bit of stiffness. We won’t take any risks with players in the matches.”

Meanwhile, Chris Willock has returned to light training and Rangers are still hoping he will be available for the opening Championship match of the season, against Blackburn.

Willock had surgery after suffering a hamstring injury during a defeat at Nottingham Forest in March.
