QPR fringe players could still move
A number of QPR’s fringe players are likely to join clubs in the National League.
The transfer window for the Premier League and English Football League closed on Monday evening, but clubs in the fifth tier can still sign players.
A number of clubs outside the UK have shown interest in Rangers midfielder Elijah Dixon-Bonner, whose options closer to home have been dwindling.
Walsall opted not to sign him after he had a trial with them this summer, while Carlisle had a long-standing interest but in the end accepted he would not join them, so they looked elsewhere.
The strongest interest in Dixon-Bonner currently appears to be from Morecambe.
Meanwhile, Emmerson Sutton and Cian Dillon are among youngsters QPR will consider loaning out – after both narrowly missed out on loans to League clubs during the final stages of the transfer window.
League Two Bromley at one point looked likely to take Sutton on loan, and there was also interest in the winger among League One clubs.
Shrewsbury made an approach for Irish forward Dillon, who joined the R’s from Shamrock Rovers earlier this year, but again the move did not go through.
But midfielder Lorent Talla, 20, looks set to sign for Portuguese top-flight side Rio Ave on a permanent deal.
And Rangers on Monday announced that Taylor Richards has left the club by mutual consent.
