Esquerdinha back in contention for QPR

Esquerdina is fit and available to return to the QPR squad, Julien Stephan says.

The Brazilian left-back, 19, has not been involved in Rangers’ past three matches.

Head coach Stephan said: “He had just a little problem two weeks ago and we needed to be careful with him.

“But it’s OK now. He did a full session this week, so no problem for him now.”

Rangers will face Ipswich Town at Loftus Road on Saturday in the first of two home matches in four days. Southampton will be the visitors on Wednesday evening.

Meanwhile, a QPR Under-19 side this week registered two wins over Bayern Munich in a behind-closed-doors tournament in Germany.
