QPR beat Bayern Munich in Under-19s tournament

A QPR Under-19 side this week registered two wins over Bayern Munich in a behind-closed-doors tournament in Germany.

The event took place in Munich, where Rangers’ youngsters did not make it out of a four-team group.

However, the teams that did not progress then took part in a mini-tournament, which Rangers won by beating Bayern on penalties in the final after a 1-1 draw, having previously beaten them 1-0 in the group stage.

Other clubs involved included Grasshoppers of Zurich and Uruguayan outfit Racing Montevideo.
