Robinson plays in QPR Under-21 game

Jack Robinson featured for QPR’s development side in a match against Watford on Friday afternoon.

Robinson played for just over an hour at Rangers’ training ground, where the home side won 2-1 with goals from Eusébio Bancessi.

West London Sport recently revealed that Wolves winger Bancessi, 20, had been granted a trial with the R’s after being told he would not be offered a new contract at Molineux.

After Sean Murray’s goal had put Watford ahead, Bancessi came on as a second-half substitute and scored twice in as many minutes.

The Portuguese youngster, who was on Benfica’s books before joining Wolves in 2013, netted from close range after being found by Niko Hamalainen’s cross and then scored after being similarly set up by Joseph N’Guessan.

Armand Traore, meanwhile, played the full 90 minutes. He has not made a first-team appearance for Rangers this season and his contract expires at the end of the campaign.

Robinson, who suffered a long-term knee injury while on loan at Huddersfield a year ago, is hoping to finally make his QPR debut before the end of the season.

The left-back was loaned to Huddersfield immediately after being signed from Liverpool in the summer of 2014.

He returned to action in January but missed recent Under-21 matches because of a niggling injury problem.

Meanwhile, Grant Hall has been passed fit to return to the QPR squad for Saturday’s game at Preston.
