Transfer gossip: Sheffield United again linked with Dieng

The latest transfer speculation involving the area’s clubs…

Sheffield United are again being linked with a possible move for QPR goalkeeper Seny Dieng.

The Sheffield Star say the Blades could reignite their supposed interest in Dieng if the Yorkshire club are unable to retain on-loan Roma keeper Robin Olsen at the end of the season.

The story is based on reports during the summer that United were looking to sign Dieng for £6m.

Rangers manager Mark Warburton told West London Sport those reports were “ludicrous”.

Saints linked with Carvalho

Southampton want Fulham youngster Fabio Carvalho, it is claimed.

Carvalho’s contract at Craven Cottage is due to expire at the end of the season and various clubs have been linked with him.

TeamTalk claim Southampton are among clubs looking to sign Carvalho.

Speculation over Rudiger’s future

There continues to be speculation over the future of Antonio Rudiger.

The defender’s Chelsea contract expires at the end of the season and he has so far not agreed a new deal.

The Daily Express continue to link Tottenham with Rudiger, who has also been linked with the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The Express say Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is urging the club’s hierarchy to agree a new contract with his fellow German.

The Sun, meanwhile, claim contract talks with Rudiger are on hold and that he is disappointed with the club’s offer.

Previously, the Daily Telegraph said he is stalling over the offer of a £140,000-a-week contract and that this has alerted Bayern and Juventus.

The Times ran a similar story, suggesting that Chelsea fear Rudiger could sign a pre-contract agreement with another club in January.

The Express, meanwhile, declared that Chelsea are “terrified” Rudiger could walk away for nothing next summer if he sees out his contract.

French publication Le10Sport recently claimed Paris St-Germain are considering a move for Rudiger.

Nkunku touted for move

French winger Christopher Nkunku is being touted for a possible move for Chelsea.

The 23-year-old has impressed since joining RB Leipzig from Tuchel’s former club Paris St-Germain.

The Daily Mirror have picked up on French publication Foot Mercato claiming that Chelsea are interested in Nkunku.
