Perch on trial with Wigan after QPR exit

James Perch could be set for a return to Wigan Athletic.

Perch was recently released by QPR, who signed him from the Latics in 2015.

He has joined Wigan on trial with a view to re-signing for the club if he proves his fitness.

Perch made 74 league appearances for Rangers, where his contact ended last month.

The 32-year-old previously spent two years at Wigan, who signed him from Newcastle in 2013.

He spent most of last season on the sidelines with a knee injury.
