LuaLua ‘hasn’t changed my mind’, says Holloway

Ian Holloway says Kazenga LuaLua has not done enough to earn a recall to the QPR side.

The winger, whose father died in August, has not played for two months.

LuaLua is on loan from Brighton until January and Rangers manager Holloway does not currently intend to take up the option to keep him for the rest of the season.

He was dropped by Holloway for the home match against Burton in September after failing to report for training on time on the eve of the game and has not featured for the R’s since.

“We borrowed him until January, he lost his father and I think he lost his confidence,” Holloway said.

“I don’t feel he was doing as well as some of my lads who I’ve brought here. Unless he rips it up and shows me – and he’s trying to – I think the loss of confidence and loss of his father has really hit him.

“So I’ve got some decisions to make on that and at the minute he hasn’t changed my mind.

“If he wants to then great. He’ll have another opportunity – he still trains with us and works with us.”

Meanwhile, QPR defenders Joel Lynch and Darnell Furlong have both been ruled out of Monday’s derby against Brentford.
