Beale believes QPR are close to another signing

QPR boss Michael Beale

Mick Beale believes QPR are close to finally signing a right-back.

Beale has been looking to bring in Dujon Sterling from Chelsea, with Millwall having made clear to Rangers that they will not sell Danny McNamara to them.

Manchester United’s Ethan Laird is another potential option as it now seems he will be made available for a loan move.

Osman Kakay is currently QPR’s only senior right-back and the club have been looking to sign a player in that position for some time.

Asked if he is close to bringing in a right-back, Beale said: “It is closer to happening. It’s probably going to be a loan that we’re bringing in.

“We’ve highlighted the player that we want. I think he’s quite an exciting player and I think when he does arrive he will add competition for Ozzy.”
