Dieng left out of QPR squad for Austria trip ahead of possible move

Seny Dieng has been left out of QPR’s squad for their pre-season trip to Austria ahead of a possible move to Middlesbrough.

Goalkeeper Dieng, 28, is in the final year of his contract and looks unlikely to sign a new deal.

Boro have expressed an interest in the Senegal international, who joined QPR in 2016.

There has been some doubt at Rangers that Boro’s interest in Dieng would result in him moving to the Riverside Stadium this summer.

However, following talks between the two clubs it seems that a £2m deal could be in the offing.

Boro have also been linked with Chris Willock, but so far there has been no indication that they are looking to sign the forward.

Meanwhile, Leon Balogun was included in the travelling party.

Veteran defender Balogun was released at the end of his contract but has been training with the club and could yet be re-signed.
