Robinson could be set for Fulham return

Antonee Robinson could return for Fulham this weekend, according to Marco Silva.

Fulham were dealt a further injury blow when Ryan Sessegnon – another option at left-back – recently picked up a hamstring injury.

Whites boss Silva confirmed on Friday afternoon that Sessegnon will miss Saturday’s game at Burnley.

But he suggested that Robinson could now be an option following a knee problem.

The United States international, 28, underwent surgery in the summer and made three league appearances before another injury setback. He has not featured since September.

“He’s training with the team. He’s progressing well, he’s doing well,” Silva explained.

“Now it’s a matter of time when we are going to decide whether he is in contention or not. We have another session tomorrow, then we are going to see.

“Last week was a good week for him in terms of him going to work and step by step, adjusting some things and being with the team. This week he’s been with the team as well.”

Timothy Castagne covered at left-back against Crystal Palace last time out and is expected to do so again if Robinson is not involved.
