Cairney continues to struggle with knee problem

Tom Cairney has suffered another injury setback.

The Fulham captain is no nearer a return date after breaking down in training.

Knee problems plagued Cairney for most of last season.


Whites boss Silva said: “He has the knee problem, so it’s a question of the next few days or weeks, but he’s an important player for us.”

Meanwhile, midfielder Harrison Reed will sit out Saturday’s trip to Huddersfield.

Silva explained: “His return? It will be sooner (than Cairney).

“It’s a different (injury) from the end of last season, but in the next few days I’ll talk with the medical staff and we can be clearer.”
