Arbeloa wants more of the same from Fulham against United
Alvaro Arbeloa wants Fulham to approach Sunday’s game against Manchester United with the same intensity they showed against Liverpool.
The recent draw at Anfield brought the Whites their first point since Arbeloa took over as head coach.
And he wants more of the same this weekend.
Arbeloa explained: “We controlled (the transitions) better. When we were attacking, I think we were more balanced. When we lost the ball, we pressed them.
“I think this is the way. United are very good in counter-attacks. We need to approach the game in the same way.
“We want to play high intensity with and without the ball. We want to be aggressive. That’s what we want to do against every team.”

Arbeloa also believes Premier League referees “can do better”, following some controversial decisions last weekend.
He felt Fulham should have been awarded a penalty at Liverpool, while United’s derby against Manchester City also produced refereeing controversy.
“I think they can do better for sure,” the Spaniard said.
“I’m still thinking why it wasn’t a penalty against Josh (King) against Alisson. For me it was so clear.
“I think the referees, even the games against Chelsea and Liverpool that we played, I think they could be better. Obviously it’s not an easy job, but I think they have the tools they need to do better.
“So we are behind them and trying to support the referees and trying to support their decisions.”
Tom Cairney is still out and Kenny Tete is unavailable for the game at Anfield because of concussion.
Ryan Sessegnon has trained and will be assessed before Arbeloa decides his line-up.
