Terry set to leave Chelsea at the end of the season, report claims

Chelsea captain John Terry is set to leave Stamford Bridge at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mirror.

It is claimed Terry wants a three-year contract but will instead be offered a one-year deal with a pay cut and that sources close to the player say he is resigned to leaving.

Manager Jose Mourinho has stated that he intends to keep Terry at Stamford Bridge.

The Mirror also claim AC Milan are waiting to discover whether Chelsea will let Michael Essien join them either on a six-month loan or an 18-month contract if the Blues are willing to sell him.

Essien remains eligible to play in this season’s Champions League and Chelsea apparently have misgivings about him moving to a club they could face in the tournament.
