Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd apparently miss out on German star

Sami Khedira has agreed a new three-year deal at Real Madrid, apparently disappointing Chelsea.

The Daily Star claim the Blues were looking to sign Khedira, who has also been linked with Manchester United and Arsenal.

Madrid’s former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti was reportedly unwilling to let Germany midfielder Khedira leave, having seen Mesut Ozil join Arsenal in the summer.

Another ex-Chelsea boss, Rafael Benitez, is looking to see off competition from the Blues and sign St Etienne defender Kurt Zouma for Napoli, according to Talksport.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Kevin de Bruyne continues to be linked with a move to Germany, where Kicker has reported that he is set to make a straight choice between Bayer Leverkusen and Wolfsburg.

And Italian media continue to report that Chelsea face competition from the likes of Tottenham, Arsenal and Manchester United in their apparent pursuit of Inter Milan defender Andrea Ranocchia.
