Transfer gossip: West Brom reportedly planning improved offer for Phillips

A round-up of the latest transfer speculation involving QPR…

West Bromwich Albion manager Tony Pulis is ready to offer QPR £7.5m for Matt Phillips, or Callum McManaman as part of an exchange deal, according to The Sun.

West London Sport revealed in the summer that Rangers had rejected bid for Phillips from Albion, and this month revealed that they are still keen on the winger, that McManaman is of interest to QPR, and that £6m bid from Middlesbrough for Phillips had been rejected.

The Sun say Pulis is so keen to sign his long-term target that he could include McManaman as part of the deal.

Phillips has scored five goals for QPR this season

Rangers demanded £10m for Phillips in the summer but would accept significantly less than that now.

They recently enquired about former Wigan wide-man McManaman, 24, and believed a deal was unlikely.
