David Luiz is unavailable for Chelsea’s game against Swansea because of a knee problem.

Luiz, who recently lost his place in the Blues side, was an unused substitute for Saturday’s draw at Liverpool but will not be part of the squad for Wednesday’s match at Stamford Bridge.

The Brazilian is being assessed by Chelsea’s medical staff and the club are currently unsure how long he might be sidelined for.

“I don’t know,” said boss Antonio Conte when asked about the extent of Luiz’s injury.

“I must be honest, in this moment it’s very difficult for me to answer this question.

“It will be for the doctor to assess the situation and then to take the best decision for the player.”

Meanwhile, Charly Musonda remains sidelined and both Michy Batshuayi and Kenedy are still working their way back to full fitness following their respective injuries.

Victor Moses is in contention to return to the starting line-up following his recent recovery from a hamstring problem.
