McEachran moves to Wigan on loan

Chelsea midfielder Josh McEachran has joined Wigan on loan for the rest of the season.

The Latics, managed by former Brentford boss Uwe Rosler, were one of several Championship clubs to express an interest in the 20-year-old and also wanted Chelsea’s Patrick Bamford prior to the striker’s recent move to Derby.

McEachran, an England Under-21 international, spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Watford, but made only seven league appearances for the Hornets.

He has previously had spells on loan at Middlesbrough and Swansea City.
