Bamford hailed after scoring yet again

On-loan Chelsea youngster Patrick Bamford continued his brilliant goalscoring form by earning a point for Derby at Blackburn on Saturday.

Bamford scored 17 goals in 30 matches while on loan at MK Dons and has already netted twice in the Championship since joining the Rams.

He recently scored the winner against Brighton after coming on as a substitute, and he struck again at Ewood Park.

“His temperament is fantastic and it’s as if he’s been here for years,” Derby manager Steve McClaren said after the 1-1 draw.

“He’s shown in the two games the qualities he’s got. He’s a natural goalscorer. We’ve got a real asset on our hands.

“He’s got a long way to go and a lot to learn but is a sensible and intelligent boy and is making the right steps.”
