Diego Costa will be fit for Chelsea’s trip to Arsenal on Sunday and a late decision will made on whether Eden Hazard will start.

Striker Costa has recovered from the shin injury he suffered against Everton last Saturday and has been given clearance to play despite only returning to training on Thursday.

Hazard has not featured since picking up a groin injury during Chelsea’s 3-0 win at Crystal Palace earlier this month.

He also resumed full training on Thursday but Guus Hiddink said he was unsure if he would be ready to start at the Emirates.

The Chelsea boss said: “He was well prepared by the physios [but] we have to be careful because he has fallen into some injuries recently.

“I’m not sure whether he can play a full 90 minutes yet so we have to consider in the upcoming hours whether to start him or bring him on.

I don’t see either way a disadvantage. It also depends on the toughness and intensity of the game. We will decide on game day.”
