Transfer gossip: Mail say Chelsea have offered £1m for Semenyo

The transfer speculation in Monday’s newspapers involving Chelsea…

Bristol City forward Antoine Semenyo continues to be touted for a move to Chelsea.

The Daily Mirror have recently been linking Chelsea with the 19-year-old, who has been on loan at Newport County.

And the Daily Mail now say Chelsea have made a £1m bid for Semenyo but that the Robins are holding out for £2m.

Star still linking Ake with return

Nathan Ake continues to be linked with a return to Chelsea.

Reports have claimed that the Blues want to activate a £40m buy-back clause to re-sign the Dutchman from Bournemouth, having sold him to the south-coast club two years ago.

And the Daily Star declare that Chelsea have “received a major boost” with Bournemouth’s recent signing of defender Chris Mepham from Brentford.

The story suggests Mepham’s move could enable Chelsea to buy back Ake – but a buy-back clause would enable them to do so in any case.

And from Sunday’s papers…

Bayern tipped to table new Hudson-Odoi bid

Bayern Munich are reportedly set to make a £40m bid for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi after he handed in a transfer request.

Hudson-Odoi, who previously told Chelsea he wanted to move to Bayern, has now formally requested a transfer.

Bayern have offered £35m for the teenager and the Mail on Sunday have reported that the German club now plan to increase that bid in an attempt to get a deal done ahead of Thursday’s deadline.

The newspaper also reported that RB Leipzig are ready to make an offer for Hudson-Odoi – apparently for £20m but with a buy-back clause, which reports have claimed Chelsea want and Bayern are unwilling to include.

Eriksen linked with Chelsea again

The Sunday Express have again linked Chelsea with Christian Eriksen.

The Blues and Manchester United want the Tottenham midfielder, it’s claimed.

Cahill and Dann deals mooted

Crystal Palace want to take Gary Cahill on loan in a deal which could lead to Scott Dann joining Fulham from the south London club, The Sun on Sunday have claimed.

Palace are reported to have targeted Cahill after the Chelsea defender rejected a move to Fulham.

The Sun on Sunday suggested Fulham could instead end up signing Eagles centre-back Dann if Cahill moves to Palace.
