Chelsea’s Ethan Ampadu has been included in the Wales squad for this month’s internationals against France and Panama.

The highly-rated midfielder, 17, has made two first-team appearances for Chelsea since being signed from Exeter City during the summer.

Born in Exeter, Ampadu previously played for England Under-16s but has since represented Wales – where his mother is from – at Under-17 and Under-19s levels and is now in line for a possible senior international debut.

Wales will play at the Stade de France in Paris on 10 November and then Panama at Cardiff City Stadium on the 14th.

Meanwhile, Chelsea’s Cole DaSilva and Chris Mepham of Brentford have been named in the Wales Under-21 squad for European Championship qualifiers against Bosnia & Herzegovina and Romania.
