Chelsea to assess Cole injury problem
Jose Mourinho says Chelsea need to assess a rib injury suffered by Ashley Cole against Norwich.
Cole was in some pain as came off 15 minutes from the end of Chelsea’s unconvincing 3-1 win at Carrow Road and could be a doubt for England’s forthcoming World Cup qualifiers.
Blues boss Mourinho said: “When I took Cole off I didn’t know [he was injured].
“He has something in the ribs that they need to assess but hopefully it is fine. I hope he goes with England.
“I think he fell in a difficult position. He now goes for a scan on his ribs and I hope he is fine.”
