Chelsea youngster Trevoh Chalobah is close to joining Ipswich Town on loan.
The 18-year-old defender – the younger brother of former Chelsea man Nathan Chalobah – impressed for the Blues’ development side last season and prior to that was part of the England team which won the 2017 European Under-19 Championship.
Ipswich are among a number of Championship clubs to have expressed an interest in Chalobah, who is set to spend some time away from Chelsea in order to pick up first-team experience.
He has not yet made an appearance at senior level but was part of the first-team squad at times last season and was a substitute for last month’s FA Cup final against Manchester United.
